Waldmann – Engineers of light
The Waldmann brand stands for innovative lighting solutions. The medium-sized, family-run company was founded in 1928 in Villingen-Schwenningen and is today run in the fourth generation as Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co. KG by owner Christoph Waldmann.
The company develops and manufactures high quality luminaires for industrial, office, care and health applications as well as systems for medical photo-therapy. The comprehensive know-how of the Waldmann lighting engineers stands for Quality Made in Germany and the continuous optimisation of productivity, safety, health and energy-saving.
Light to the limit
For seventy years NORKA has been a recognised supplier of technical lighting for difficult operating conditions.
Mr Walter Stäcker founded the company in 1948. The first products were cable and junction boxes for electrical installations. This was followed by water and dust-proof luminaires for fluorescent lamps according to the principle of a short seal.
Today the range of products consists of about 4000 standard luminaires for a wide variety of operational areas. Beyond that, special products for specific applications have been, and will continue to be, developed according to customer requirements. Continually dealing with extreme environmental conditions has had a lasting effect on the quality consciousness of our employees. At NORKA special solutions are the rule, not the exception.

When the pioneer Roger Pradier decided to go into manufacturing wrought iron lanterns for individual homes, following the footsteps of his father who started the firm in 1910, he could not have imagined that a century later this company would still be manufacturing lights with the same know-how passed on from generation to generation.The success of the company Roger Pradier lies, in part, in the preservation of manufacturing techniques derived from tinsmithing, carefully kept by a paid workforce proud of the activity that they have contributed to growing.

Our vision for architectural lighting in the commercial project specifications market evolved, making formalighting one of the first European lighting companies to open its own, wholly-managed ISO certified factory in China by the late 1990’s, and in recent years, one of the first lighting companies to incorporate dynamic beam shaping technology and loT compatible sensors into our Italian designed architectural lighting fixtures.

Platek produces lighting fixtures designed for urban and outdoor architectural lighting.
As part of the Donati Group, Platek takes advantage of the know-how of its mother company – Metalpres specialists in aluminium die casting and supplier of dies – to produce the components for their luminaires both designed and manufactured in the company which is located in Rodengo Saiano near Brescia.
The company follows all production stages: design, engineering and prototyping are all developed by our in-house technical department, quality control on all products is carried out in a laboratory to verify protection levels and resistance against weather and environmental temperatures. The sales network promotes and sells the range of company products in Italy and abroad.
